Revelation 11:15–19 (ESV)
Finally, The Seventh Trumpet
15 Then the seventh angel blew his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, saying, “The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he shall reign forever and ever.” 16 And the twenty-four elders who sit   on their thrones before God fell on their faces and worshiped God, 17 saying,
“We give thanks to you, Lord God Almighty,
who is and who was,
for you have taken your great power
and begun to reign.
    18     The nations raged,
but your wrath came,
and the time for the dead to be judged,
and for rewarding your servants, the prophets and saints,
and those who fear your name,
both small and great,
and for destroying the destroyers of the earth.”
19 Then God’s temple in heaven was opened, and the ark of his covenant was seen within his temple. There were flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder, an earthquake, and heavy hail.

We were cruising through the trumpets and then they slowed down.  Finally we are at the Seventh Trumpet.  Notice that the scene switches from earth to heaven.  This trumpet blast is totally different.  This ushers in God’s Kingdom.  The twenty-four elders fell on their faces and worship God.  I know you just read what they were saying and the best way to review it is to read it again. They were saying:

“We give thanks to you, Lord God Almighty,
who is and who was,
for you have taken your great power
and begun to reign.
    18     The nations raged,
but your wrath came,
and the time for the dead to be judged,
and for rewarding your servants, the prophets and saints,
and those who fear your name,
both small and great,
and for destroying the destroyers of the earth.”

One movie that I have always loved is Raiders of the Lost Ark.  When the Germans opened up the Ark of the Covenant (of te Old Testament), well ... everything went downhill very fast.  There is biblical basis for this.  Never-the-less, the Ark was lost.  In verse 19, IT’S BACK!!! 19 Then God’s temple in heaven was opened, and the ark of his covenant was seen within his temple. There were flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder, an earthquake, and heavy hail.

I pray: Lord, it is truly awesome to see heaven opening up and I can’t wait to be there to worship you.  I will worship and praise you here on earth, but I know it will only get better.  I’m excited, but help me get through life and to endure unto the end.  Thank you for everything you have done for me.  Amen.
