From Pastor Perry

08/09/2018 1 Peter 1:1-2

1 Peter 1:1–2 (ESV)

Greeting

1 Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ,

To those who are elect exiles of the Dispersion in Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia, according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in the sanctification of the Spirit, for obedience to Jesus Christ and for sprinkling with his blood:

May grace and peace be multiplied to you.

1 Peter was written by Simon-Peter before 67AD.  He wrote it in a time of persecution.  This letter is valid for us even today as we endure persecution and hatred.  As a Christian, Peter will address the issue of suffering for Christ… and to even expect it.

I pray: O Lord, give us courage and boldness to stand firm in Christ when the world is against us.  Amen.

Look at the Words say they "fell away". The had it, but lost it. Just like the Bible says your name can be blotted out of the Book of Life.
