Hebrews 11:30 (ESV)

faith the walls of Jericho fell down after they had been encircled for seven days.
This is what I call an almighty ridiculous miracle. I call it this
because it just doesn’t make sense that they marched around Jericho seven times and blew the trumpets… and the walls came tumbling down. I call it ridiculous because it doesn’t make sense. But it did happen, just as they were
told it would happen. Today, we want to explain everything scientifically, but then it wouldn’t be a miracle. The very nature of a miracle is that it cannot be explained. Well, in the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, we believe in miracles.
We don’t have to understand them. The fact is… the walls fell down. Jericho was defeated.
I pray: O Lord, your knowledge, power,
and everything else is superior to my little brain. How can I understand all your miracles? I do acknowledge that you are the Creator of the universe and you are all powerful. Help me to trust in your ways and your saving faith. Amen.
