Hebrews 11:9–10 (ESV)

By Faith

By faith, he went to live in the land of promise, as in a foreign land, living in tents with Isaac and Jacob, heirs with him of the same promise. 10 For he was looking forward to the city that has foundations, whose designer and builder is God.

When God said go, Abraham went.  Where are you in your faith and relationship with God?  Would you go… or would you stay where you are?  This is a good question to contemplate.  You also have to be sure that the motivation is coming from God, not you or the devil.  The devil is always trying to trip us up.  And as far as “you” being the motivation… we pray in the Lord’s Prayer “Thy will be done”, not “My will be done.”  We, as Christians, are looking forward to living in heaven with God… His final Promised Land.  It is comforting to know that we are saved by faith and not by our works.  But works are a by-product of our faith.

I pray: O Lord, I know that I am saved by faith.  Help me to be obedient to your Word.  Amen.

"Depart in Peace" What a blessing when the world is so chaotic! Followers of Christ can find their peace in Him.
