Ephesians 6:21–24 (ESV)
that you also may know how I am and what I am doing, Tychicus the beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord will tell you everything. 22 I have sent him to you for this very purpose, that you may know how we are, and
that he may encourage your hearts.
23 Peace be to the brothers, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 24 Grace
be with all who love our Lord Jesus Christ with love incorruptible.
It is interesting that Paul is writing
a letter and could tell them how he is doing, but he would rather sent Tychicus to tell them and to encourage them. There are times you can send a letter and there are times you need to see someone in person.
In today’s world, we have texting, emails, Instagram, FaceTime, Video Calling, cell phones, landlines, and… letter writing. Some of these are better than others, but nothing beat a face to face meeting when you can “see” what
is going on. You can see there expressions, hear their pauses, see the body language, and get a better feel for what is really going on. Our young generation are doing a lot of things through texting and there
are some things that should never be texted, but face to face.
I pray: “Maker of all things, all Thy creatures praise Thee; All for Thy
worship were and are created; Now, as we also worship Thee devoutly, Hear Thou our voices. Lord God Almighty, unto Thee be glory, One in three persons, over all exalted! Glory we offer, praise Thee and adore Thee, Now and forever.” Amen. (LSB
