Matthew 24:1–2 (ESV)

Jesus Foretells Destruction of the Temple

24 Jesus left the temple and was going away, when his disciples came to point out to him the buildings of the temple. But he answered them, “You see all these, do you not? Truly, I say to you, there will not be left here one stone upon another that will not be thrown down.”

The buildings and temple of Jerusalem were massive and solid.  The thought of them being destroyed was just not imaginable.  Yet Jesus makes a prediction that the will be destroyed.  This did happen in 70 AD under the power of Rome.

I pray: O Lord, you are truth.  Your Word is the truth.  How can I ever doubt you… yet I do.  Forgive me and help me to always trust you.  Amen.

Look at the Words say they "fell away". The had it, but lost it. Just like the Bible says your name can be blotted out of the Book of Life.
