Genesis 1:6–8 (ESV)
The Creation of the World (Day 2)
6 And God said, “Let there be an expanse in the midst of the waters, and let it separate the waters from the waters.” 7 And God made the expanse
and separated the waters that were under the expanse from the waters that were above the expanse. And it was so. 8 And God called the expanse Heaven. And there was evening and there was morning, the second
day.
God spoke again and created the sky. You have the heavens above the sky and below the sky are the oceans. Day two. So how did
God create this? He created it through the spoken Word. If you have faith in God, this is fairly easy to believe. If you don’t have faith, then this seems ridiculous. Well, I believe. God is the creator of the world…
and science.
I pray: O Lord, you spoke and things happened. You had a plan for my Salvation which you carried out through the cross. There
are a lot of things I don’t understand… they are mysteries. I’m ok with that. Amen.
