Revelation 16:10–11 (ESV)

The Seven Bowls of God’s Wrath

10 The fifth angel poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and its kingdom was plunged into darkness. People gnawed their tongues in anguish 11 and cursed the God of heaven for their pain and sores. They did not repent of their deeds.

This fifth bowl produces plagues similar to the ones described in Ex 10:21–29 and Rv 8:12.  The hard heartedness of the people still refuse to repent.  They are unwilling to stop, acknowledge that they are wrong, and to change.

I pray: O Lord, I must admit that at times, I can be stubborn and want to do things my way.  I repent and want to do better.  I want to do it your way, forgive me when I fail and point me back to you.  Amen.
