Revelation 7:9–12 (ESV)

A Great Multitude from Every Nation

After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, 10 and crying out with a loud voice, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!” 11 And all the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures, and they fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, 12 saying, “Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might be to our God forever and ever! Amen.”

Yesterday, we read about the 144,000 which trips up a lot of people because they take it literally.  The very next verse (9) states way more people that 144,000 (which can be counted).  “9After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, 10and crying out with a loud voice, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!”  Now, there is a difference between 144,000 and “a great multitude that no one could number.”  Also remember that the 144,000 listed the tribes of Israel while the “great multitude that no one could number” includes people of all nations, from all tribes and peoples and languages.  Who are these people?  They are those who have died in the faith.  This includes the Gentiles!  This includes my people!

I pray: O Lord, we see in John’s revelation that the Kingdom of Heaven is for all people who died in the faith of Jesus Christ.  Help us to continue in our faith unto the end and that we remain part of the great multitude.  Amen.

Look at the Words say they "fell away". The had it, but lost it. Just like the Bible says your name can be blotted out of the Book of Life.
