Revelation 4:9–11 (ESV)
The Throne in Heaven (Part 3)
9 And whenever the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to him who is seated on the throne, who lives forever and ever, 10 the twenty-four elders
fall down before him who is seated on the throne and worship him who lives forever and ever. They cast their crowns before the throne, saying,
“Worthy are you, our Lord and God,
to receive glory and honor and power,
for you created all things,
and by your will they existed and were created.”
messengers for God. They always glorify God or do His work. Now… there are good angels and bad angels. Bad angels are Satan and his demons. They rebelled against God and were kicked out of heaven. They want to be glorified,
instead of glorifying God. We see in today’s reading, the living creatures and they “give glory and honor and thanks to him who is seated on the throne, who lives forever and ever.” The throne is surrounded by twenty four elders
who fall and worship the God. Listen to their message and remember what I said about the good angels. They say: “Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed
and were created.” They are definitely worshiping the God who created all things.
I pray: O
Lord, it gives me goosebumps thinking about the twenty-four elders falling and worshiping you. I can’t wait to see you and your throne. Help me to keep my eyes on you and to share the light of Christ with others. Amen.
