Revelation 1:9–11 (ESV)
Vision of the Son of Man
9 I, John, your brother and partner in the tribulation and the kingdom and the patient endurance that are in Jesus, was on the island called Patmos on account of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus.
10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day, and I heard behind me a loud voice like a trumpet 11 saying, “Write what you see in a book and send
it to the seven churches, to Ephesus and to Smyrna and to Pergamum and to Thyatira and to Sardis and to Philadelphia and to Laodicea.”
There are many
today that are believing in the “Left Behind” theology that need to pick up what John is saying. He states that he is living in the tribulation. He is being persecuted for his beliefs and his being held as a prisoner. He is also
waiting in “patient endurance” for Jesus. The “Left Behind” Theology is exciting, but it is wrong. Where in the Bible do the people get a second chance at the rapture. The Bible does not speak of the second chance…
so everything after rapture with Rayford and the plane incident in book 1 is bogus. There is no second chance. Read the Bible. You must read all the Bible to interpret what will happen on the last day. Let’s not add to the Bible
and have to include a “secret return” which is not there, but vital for the Left Behind theology. When Jesus returns, it will be Judgement Day. God wants the truth out and Jesus tells him to write in down and give it to the seven
I pray: O Lord, help me to focus on what is in the text and to not add to it or take away from it. Help me to endure until the end.
