Matthew 5:27-30

Lust
“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart. If your right eye causes you to sin, tear it out and throw it away. For it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body be thrown into hell. And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. For it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body go into hell.

The 6TH Commandment is "You shall not commit adultery."  Many people can claim that they have never broken this commandment, but Jesus tightens the bolt on defining adultery.  Jesus says that "everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart."  Now wait a minute Jesus, you just condemned all men... and women too!  For my generation, all we had to see was the beginning of the TV show Baywatch and we all plead guilty.  Jesus turned up the heat and we all fall short.  Jesus not only turns up the heat on the 6th Commandment, but on all of them.

I pray: O Lord, I plead guilty to the 6th Commandment in the way Jesus explains it.  I repent and look in the mirror and wonder who can plead innocent to the charge.  I want to do better, but I am at your mercy and trust in your grace for the forgiveness of sins.  Thank you for loving me enough to forgive me and to reconcile me into your kingdom.  Amen.

Look at the Words say they "fell away". The had it, but lost it. Just like the Bible says your name can be blotted out of the Book of Life.
