Hebrews 12:3–6 (ESV)
Do Not Grow Weary
3 Consider him who endured from sinners such hostility against himself, so that you may not grow weary or fainthearted. 4 In your struggle against sin you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood. 5 And have you forgotten the exhortation that addresses you as sons?
“My son, do not regard lightly the discipline of the Lord,
nor be weary when reproved by him.
6     For the Lord disciplines the one he loves,
and chastises every son whom he receives.”

Too often, we become complainers when things don’t go our way.  Especially if we are hurting and pain.  We may cry out to God that he doesn’t know what we are going through.  Well, Jesus suffered all the way to his death.  Jesus knows pain.  Jesus knows suffering too!  “In your struggle against sin you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood.”

I pray: O Lord, forgive me for complaining and thinking my problems are too big for you.  Help me in my daily struggles with sin and help me to endure to the end.  Amen.
