Hebrews 10:11–18 (ESV)
Christ Sacrifice Once for All
11 And every priest stands daily at his service, offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. 12 But when Christ had offered for all time a single sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God, 13 waiting from that time until his enemies should be made a footstool for his feet. 14 For by a single offering he has perfected for all time those who are being sanctified.
15 And the Holy Spirit also bears witness to us; for after saying,
16     “This is the covenant that I will make with them
after those days, declares the Lord:
I will put my laws on their hearts,
and write them on their minds,”
17 then he adds,
“I will remember their sins and their lawless deeds no more.”
18 Where there is forgiveness of these, there is no longer any offering for sin.

Today’s reading contrasts the many priest in the Old Testament to the one high priest Jesus Christ.  All the priests in the OT offered sacrifices and they died.  None of them rose from the dead.  Jesus Christ is the last and final sacrifice, who died and was raised to life.  His single offering is a perfect offering that trumps all former, current, and the need for future sacrifices.  Jesus was the perfect high priest who sacrificed himself, thus bringing to an end the need for sacrifices.

I pray: O Lord, you are the ultimate sacrifice.  You have died for all my past, current, and future sins.  You have set man free.  I give thanks for this selfless and loving sacrifice and gift.  You tell us “I will remember their sins and their lawless deeds no more.”   Thank you, Amen.

Look at the Words say they "fell away". The had it, but lost it. Just like the Bible says your name can be blotted out of the Book of Life.
