Hebrews 2:10–13 (ESV)
The Founder of Salvation
10 For it was fitting that he, for whom and by whom all things exist, in bringing many sons to glory, should make the founder of their salvation perfect through suffering. 11 For he who sanctifies and those who are sanctified all have one source. That is why he is not ashamed to call them brothers, 12 saying,
        “I will tell of your name to my brothers;
in the midst of the congregation I will sing your praise.”
13 And again,
        “I will put my trust in him.”
And again,
        “Behold, I and the children God has given me.”

God is the founder of our Salvation.  We need to remember that God is the Triune God: the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  In verse 10, the “he” is God the Father.  The “many sons” are not other gods, but us... believers.  Those who believe in Jesus as their Lord and Savior.  We are the “many sons” and we bring glory to God.  We are sanctified by God and God is not ashamed of you, and He calls you “brothers.”  The question that we have to dig deep is “Are you ashamed of God?”  I hear many people call themselves Christians, but do not share their beliefs with other people.  They may claim that talking about Jesus is just not my thing.  Well, I ask Why?  I truly believe that if we are not ashamed of God, then we will be willing to proclaim Jesus from the roof tops.

I pray: O Lord, I know that you are not ashamed of us, but sometimes I wonder about our sincerity towards you.  Help me to not be ashamed of you, and to be willing to proclaim your love and mercy to all people.  Help me to stand up to persecution, ridicule, and peer pressure.  Help me to stand firm in my faith.  Amen.

Look at the Words say they "fell away". The had it, but lost it. Just like the Bible says your name can be blotted out of the Book of Life.
