07/10/2015 Philemon 21-25

Philemon 21–25 (ESV)
Paul’s Plea For Onesimus
21 Confident of your obedience, I write to you, knowing that you will do even more than I say. 22 At the same time, prepare a guest room for me, for I am hoping that through your prayers I will be graciously given to you.
Final Greetings
23 Epaphras, my fellow prisoner in Christ Jesus, sends greetings to you, 24 and so do Mark, Aristarchus, Demas, and Luke, my fellow workers.
25 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.

Paul is confident that Philemon will do what is right, and then even more.  That is my plea for myself, that I will do what is right and then go above and beyond.  I think of turning the other cheek, walking an extra mile, or giving a stranger your cloak or coat.

I pray: O Lord, help me to not be a let down to my professed Christian faith.  I know I am saved by my faith, but help me to serve in my faith through action.  Amen.
