2 Thessalonians 1:1–4 (ESV)
1 Paul, Silvanus, and Timothy,
To the church of the Thessalonians in God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ:
2 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
3 We ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers, as is right, because your faith is growing abundantly, and the love of every one of you for one another is increasing. 4 Therefore we ourselves boast about you in the churches of God for your steadfastness and faith in all your persecutions and in the afflictions that you are enduring.

Paul is excited that the Thessalonians are growing in faith, that is “growing abundantly”.  He is also excited that their love for one another is increasing.  He is excited to the point of boasting about them to other churches.  You know, some churches are contagious and it is exciting to be around them.  There are times when our church is growing and it is exciting.  Usually when we are not growing, there is a lot of criticism going on.  Is there a correlation between the two?  Yea... you bet!  If you were a visitor, would you want to go to a church where people are groaning and complaining, or one where people are excited?   Well... it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to answer that question.  You know, we have a lot to be excited about!  We are forgiven!  We have eternal life!  We are God’s children!  We are part of God’s kingdom!  We are going to heaven!  Gee... what more do we need?

Let us pray: O Lord, help me to not be negative, but to be positive about all you have given me.  Help me to share a positive attitude and to build others up, not tear them down.  Shape me according to your will and to trust in your promises.  Amen.

Look at the Words say they "fell away". The had it, but lost it. Just like the Bible says your name can be blotted out of the Book of Life.
