Why did Jesus remain silent? Well, he is fulfilling prophecy by remaining silent, but there is another deeper meaning to me. They are putting Jesus on trial so that they can kill
him. The irony is that Jesus came to this world to be killed! Their actions are fulfilling a bigger prophecy and carrying out Jesus’s plan of salvation. So, why would he want to say anything, He knows that all he needs to
do is sit back and ride this out to the cross. That is has been his plan all along.
I pray: O Lord, there are times that I need to learn to be silent. Help me to be silent when I need to
be and to speak when I need to speak. Let Thy will be done. Amen.
