Mark 13:32–37 (ESV)
No One Knows That Day or Hour
concerning that day or that hour, no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. 33 Be on guard, keep awake. For you do not know when the time will come. 34 It is like a man going on a journey, when he leaves home and puts his
servants in charge, each with his work, and commands the doorkeeper to stay awake. 35 Therefore stay awake—for you do not know when the master of the house will come, in the evening, or at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or in the morning—
36 lest he come suddenly and find you asleep. 37 And what I say to you I say to all: Stay awake.”
About two years ago, a radio evangelist and self proclaimed prophet named Harold Camping, prophesied
the Second Coming. I didn’t buy it and neither did most of America. The Bible is very clear that “ no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.” If the Bible says this, why did he prophesy this?
I think it is obvious that Harold Camping doesn’t read the Bible. If he does (or did) read it, then he must not believe it. Harold died December 15th, 2013. It hurts Christianity when clowns try to predict the end without regard
to God’s Word. Jesus tells us to “be on guard, keep awake. For you do not know when the time will come.”
I pray: O Lord, If someone predicts a date for your return, I know
you are not coming that day. Help me to stay focused, be on guard and awake... keeping my eye focused on you. Help me to endure to the end and not get caught up in false teachers. Help me to Stay awake!” Amen.
