Acts 9:19–22 (ESV)
Saul Proclaims Jesus in Synagogues

When I lived in Austin, Texas, I remember seeing the famous Athiest Madaline Murray O’Hair. I would have really been caught off guard if she had stood up at her table in the restaurant
and proclaimed Jesus Christ is Lord. I might even chuckle from being thrown a curve ball and wondering what is going on. This is the same reaction that Saul is receiving when he shows up in the Synagogues proclaiming Christ. I’m sure
they were scratching their heads and wondering is this the Saul that is persecuting the Christians? Why they are confused, but listening... Saul grew in strength. The sad thing is that Madaline Murray O’Hair is now dead and if she died
without Christ, she will live in hell forever.
I pray: O Lord, help me to proclaim Jesus with the boldness of Paul. I pray that the Holy Spirit work in the hearts of those that hear the
message. Help me to realize that even the heart of Saul can be converted by the Holy Spirit. Amen.
